There are many Christian and secular models for support group work and most use the 12 step approach popularized by Alcoholics Anonymous.
MCI Recovery's model is based on Biblical principles and Christ's teachings that press to the root issues, where the Holy Spirit is allowed to heal wounds and defilements within the believer's personal spirit.
This Biblical model works towards complete recovery, wholeness, and freedom. We have found that any other model than that of the Bible and the Holy Spirit's ministry falls short.
What to Expect
Participants can look forward to working with facilitators and instructors who have gone through God's recovery program themselves and know and understand the challenges and hidden obstacles in true recovery. Importantly each has experienced the Holy Spirit's ministry of healing, trauma resolutions, and inner transformation.
MCI Recovery Ministry does not present quick-fix magic wand formulas or a self-empowered make-over that only bury wounds deeper. Most importantly, this program is not a religious regiment that trains wounded Christians to memorizing Scripture and pretend all is well.
Working in Truth and Comfort of the Holy Spirit that Facilitates Transformation
Working with God in His recovery program requires courage to face the truth and find out why we can't live life the way God meant life to be lived.
This is painful work-to allow the Holy Spirit to show us our hidden wounds and unbelief-then allowing His comfort to heal us on the inside. God is faithful to transform our wounds and damaged emotions into a healthy new person. Peace, joy, strength, and wisdom becomes interwoven into our character, as we become changed into a Christ-like person.
